Painted walls on both sides of Toronto’s Graffiti Alley

TO THE ARTISTS, WRITERS & MURALISTS OF TORONTO

The city is richer
because of you.

Thank you for the colour, the questions, the craft, and the courage you bring to our streets. Your work gives people a reason to stop, look again, and feel connected to a place.

A NOTE FROM STREETSIDE

We see the work.
We want people to see you.

A wall is never just a backdrop. It holds your time, your choices, your influences, and your relationship with the city. Whether your piece stays for years or disappears next week, it deserves to be seen in context.

Streetside is here to help people learn who made the work they encounter and why it matters. We want to listen to artists, credit collaborators, and make space for the stories that a photograph alone cannot tell.

OUR COMMITMENT

Respect starts
with the artist.

01

Your name belongs beside your work.

Where an artist is known, their name, handle, crew, and collaborators should be easy to find. If a record is wrong, there should be a way to correct it.

02

The story is yours to tell.

A wall can hold personal history, community memory, humour, or protest. Streetside makes room for your words and the context you want people to understand.

03

The physical work leads.

The piece and its place come first. A digital layer is optional, and it should add to the encounter only when you feel it serves the work.

A CHANGING CITY

Paint changes.
Credit should remain.

Toronto’s walls are alive. Pieces are layered, covered, and remade. Streetside aims to keep a thoughtful record of the work and the people who made it, while acknowledging that the street never stands still.

IF IT SERVES YOUR WORK

A little more
room to tell it.

Streetside’s mobile Studio is an optional way to add motion or a new layer of context to a physical piece. You choose what moves, preview the result, and decide whether it belongs on the wall. The original artwork stays at the centre.

TRY AN OPTIONAL PREVIEW

Curious what your
piece could become?

Upload a straight-on photo and describe a subtle movement you would like to explore. This is a preview of a possible digital layer; your wall and your original work remain the starting point.
